Jennifer Lee

Jennifer has performed professionally in Iran, Berlin and Paris as well as London, Cambridge and at the Edinburgh Festival.  She trained for two years with Philippe Gaulier in Paris. Prior to that she graduated with a double first from Cambridge University during which time she worked for two months with Veniamin Filshtinsky at the St Petersburg Arts Academy in Russia and at the RADA Summer School Lloyd Trott. She has taken lead roles in; The Fish is Open (2007/8 tour in London and Berlin performed by invitation at the 15th International Festival for Children and Young adults in Iran); Onwards, Outwards (2007/8 BAC Scratch Night, Camden People’s Theatre, Etcetera Theatre); Macbeth: The Hour (2005/Edinburgh Festival Fringe); Sarah in Pinter’s The Lover (2005/ Cambridge Amateur Dramatics Club), Margarita in The Master and Margarita (2005/ Cambridge Amateur Dramatics Club), Annie in Tom Stoppard’s The Real Thing (2004/Cambridge Theatre). As a director she has staged A Letter that Never Reached Russia (World Premier/Edinburgh Festival Fringe), The Calvino Project, a multi-media installation which was named in the Cambridge Arts Review as one of the most celebrated productions of the year (World Premier/Cambridge Union Chamber), Spectacular, Spectacular (2006), Michael Frayn’s Wild Honey (2005/ Cambridge Amateur Dramatics Club, 150th anniversary show). Jennifer assisted Shane Meadows on his latest film, Somer’s Town and worked with Theatre Royal Stratford East on the International Festival for Emerging Artists 2008.
