Aitherios Theatre

Hitoshi Oya was born in Matsumoto, Japan and trained at the Seinenza Kenkyusho Drama School for two years before becoming a member of the Seinenza Theatre Company where he has remained since 1990. He also trained at the Okamoto Jazz Dance School and with Philippe Gaulier in Japan. Hitoshi has worked as a professional actor around the world for a number of years, taking leading roles in theatre, television and film. He was awarded Seinenza the Rookie of the Year (1992), Geijutsusai Taishou Sakuhinshou (1997), Yomiuri Engeki Taishou Sakuhinshou (1997) and Seinenza Best Actor of the Year (2000). Hitoshi trained at Ecole Philippe Gaulier, Paris, 2006-7.
